Built by a coach who lifts.
Chalk & Iron is run by a coach with a 518 lb bench at 220 lb bodyweight and a roster of real lifters making real progress — including clients over 50 squatting 225+.

The approach isn’t theoretical
It’s the same loading that built that bench, applied to you. Adjusted for who you are, what you compete in, and what your body is telling us this week. The numbers you see in the methodology page aren’t borrowed from a textbook — they’re what actually moved the bar.
The roster
Athletes range from total beginners learning to brace to masters lifters squatting more in their fifties than they did in their thirties. Raw competitors, equipped lifters, gym-only strength-seekers. The methodology bends to who’s lifting, not the other way around.
Why the brand is the focus, not me
Coaching businesses built around a personality are fragile — when the coach steps back, the business goes with them. Chalk & Iron is built around the system: Strength First Periodization, AMRAP-driven progression, the neurological edge for advanced lifters. The system lasts. The coaching scales. You get the same methodology whether I’m the one writing your program or someone I’ve trained.
